Ordinary houses in ordinary streets — not facilities. A bedroom that’s yours and a household that works.
Compatibility comes first — meet-and-greets and careful matching before anyone signs anything.
Founded by a psychologist — behaviour, wellbeing and family dynamics are understood.
We know Campbelltown — transport, TAFE, day programs and health services — and build them into daily life.
Founded by a psychologist, our SIL starts with who you are — personality, culture, routines, goals — then shapes the home, housemates and support around that. Independence is the outcome, not dependence.
We listen first — how you want to live, who with, and what support really helps.
We match carefully — home, housemates and staff — with meet-and-greets and family input before any agreement is signed.
We review openly — support plans grow with you, aiming for more independence each year, not more hours.
Macarthur is growing fast — and so are the options for living independently here. Our SIL supports people of all disabilities to run their own home in Campbelltown, with the right level of help.
Consistent, familiar support workers and routines that build real independence — at your pace, in your own home.
Sensory-considered homes, predictable routines and housemate matching that takes compatibility seriously.
Recovery-oriented SIL with psychology-led oversight — stability at home that supports mental health.
Structured daily support for memory, fatigue and routine — keeping rehab gains alive in everyday life.
Accessible homes and trained staff for transfers, equipment and personal care — up to 24/7.
Support that adapts across life stages — therapy coordination, equipment and community life included.
High intensity supports — tube feeding, catheter care, seizure management — delivered by trained workers.
A gradual, planned move from the family home — with family involved as much as you both want.
Discharging from hospital without a suitable home? We set up SIL as part of the discharge plan.
Rita founded Affective Care on a simple idea: services should fit people, not the reverse.
NDIS registered — including Daily Tasks/Shared Living, high intensity supports and SDA.
Audited against the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
Positive Behaviour Support and therapy teams in-house — clinical backup behind every household.
Multilingual, culturally inclusive staff — English, Arabic and Mandarin.

SIL is the support that makes independent living work — delivered in your home, shaped by your plan, shared fairly across the household.
Around-the-clock support from a consistent roster — including active overnight or sleepover shifts as funded.
Cooking, budgeting, transport training and routines — support that builds independence, not dependence.
Personal care through to high intensity supports, delivered with dignity by trained workers.
Cleaning, laundry, shopping and meal prep — shared fairly among housemates with staff support.
Work, study, sport, faith and friendships — support to live a life, not just occupy a house.
Appointments, medications and coordination with our psychology, OT, speech and PBS teams.
Suburb list indicates our Macarthur service area — confirm live homes before publish.
Homes and rooms open as households change. Call for this week’s vacancies and what’s coming next.
Campbelltown deserves SIL that looks like ordinary life — real streets, real neighbours, real choice. Our commitment: homes you’d proudly invite family into, staff you know by name, and support that grows independence.
SIL should widen your choices, not shrink them. Ours works like this:
No pressure, no rushed placements — the right household is worth doing properly.
Tell us what you’re after — location, housemates, support needs, timing. We’ll explain current options.
Tour homes, meet potential housemates and staff — the fit has to feel right before anything is signed.
A gradual transition — visits, trial stays where possible, family involved — supports ready from night one.
Support coordinators, hospital teams and LACs — send the participant’s needs, funding and timing; we respond within one business day with genuine options, including honest ‘not yet’ answers.
We accept complex, high intensity and psychosocial referrals, including hospital-to-SIL transitions.
We’d rather say ‘not yet’ than force a poor match that breaks down in six months. Expect straight answers on vacancies, genuine housemate compatibility work, and clinical backup (PBS, psychology, nursing) behind every household.
The best moves are planned, not rushed. Whether it’s a first move from the family home or a change from a household that isn’t working, call us — we’ll explain funding, vacancies and what a good transition looks like.
One call to hear current vacancies, upcoming homes and how the move works — no pressure, no obligation.

SIL is NDIS funding for help with daily tasks in your home — usually a shared house with 24/7 or near-24/7 support. It covers the support workers and skill-building, so you can live as independently as possible: cooking, personal care, routines, health and household life.
Vacancies across Campbelltown and Macarthur change as homes are established and housemates move — the honest answer is always current, so call 1300 615 193 for what’s open this week. If nothing fits today, we’ll discuss upcoming homes and housemate matching so you’re first in line for the right fit — not just the next bed.
SIL is approved by the NDIA through a home and living request, supported by evidence of your support needs — usually reports from your therapy team and coordinator. If SIL isn’t in your plan yet, we’ll explain what evidence helps and work alongside your support coordinator on the request.
SIL pays for the support people in a home; SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) pays for the specialised dwelling itself, for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high needs. Many people have SIL without SDA. We support participants with either or both.
Yes — and we insist on it. Matching involves meet-and-greets, shared activities and honest conversations about routines and personalities before anyone commits. A household that genuinely gets along is the single biggest factor in SIL working long-term.
The NDIS covers your supports. You pay ordinary living costs from your own income — rent or board, groceries, utilities and personal spending — just like any household. We’ll give you a clear breakdown before you sign anything, with no surprise costs.
Yes — our teams are trained for high intensity daily personal activities (tube feeding, catheter care, seizure management and more), with community nursing oversight and in-house Positive Behaviour Support where behaviour is part of the picture.
Gradually and deliberately. From the family home: visits, then short stays, then the move — with family involved throughout. From hospital: we coordinate with the discharge team so the home, supports and equipment are ready before discharge day. See our hospital discharge pages for that pathway.
Supported Independent Living ratios can seem technical at first, but they play a central role in determining how support is delivered throughout the day and night. Understanding these ratios can help participants, families and support coordinators assess whether a Roster of Care genuinely reflects the person’s needs. If you’ve seen a Roster of Care or […]

Navigating NDIS housing options, such as Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses, can feel confusing, especially when you keep hearing the term “SIL House” without a clear explanation of what it actually means. Many NDIS participants, families, and Support Coordinators ask the same question: What is a SIL house in the NDIS, and how does Supported […]
